All roads lead to MFI Foundation Incorporated for the annual Information Security Conference conducted by Bitshield Security Consulting, Inc. the leading information security firm in the Philippines.
Over 200 delegates from different schools and universities in the country gathered together to hear the latest trends in information security focusing on topics such as Basic Ethical Hacking and Web Application Security.
Resource speaker Benjie Brian Zamora, CEH, Linux Professional, emphasized his lecture on the defense and security aspects thus creating awareness amongst the participants.
In his welcome speech, Jane Anne Barrido, Managing Director of Bitshield, challenged the delegates to commit themselves in protecting and defending the cyber world through vigilance and continuous education and training. She also added the importance of ethics in pen testing, and that “powers come with great responsibility”.
The conference was well attended it drew participants from the Philippine Military Academy, University of Perpetual Help System Isabela Campus, University of the East Manila, STI College Tagaytay, Recto and Sta. Rosa Campus, and Bulacan State University.
Aside from students and professors, some IT professionals from the corporate world also attended the conference.
